Systems monitoring tools enable support staff to proactively administering networks and systems and help identify issues before they become serious problems.  GTcentral's customizable systems monitoring solution enables you to monitor your hosts, your network services, and anything else you configure via extensions. It periodically generate requests to network services - http, ftp, smtp etc - and records if the service is responding as expected. Through the use of agents installed on the servers, it can also monitor local disk utilisation, logfiles and processes etc.
In the event of problems, alerts may be sent in the form of e-mails, SMS-messages or pager-alerts, so that support staff can respond quickly to problems without having to keep a constant watch over the services.
